DagensNæringsliv (DN) is Norway’s largest business paper, and one of the world’s most-read business papers relative to its population. Each day 266,000 Norwegians read DagensNæringsliv, making it the country’s fourth-largest daily newspaper. It publishes news, exposés, comments, analysis and debate on Norwegian business and society. Its readers are senior or middle managers, and experts with decision-making authority.
To build loyalty amongst readers and increase readership, it’s crucial for DN to meet readers wherever they are. This made it an early adopter of mobile solutions.
DN has used Mobiletech’s SaaS platform for almost five years in order to deliver the best user experience for their mobile readers.
In 2008, DN became Mobiletech’s first customer to implement our mobile router, which ensured seamless URL transitions between its Internet and mobile sites. This led to an astonishing 50 percent surge in traffic almost over-night.
DN relaunched their site in February 2012 with a more bold and up-to-date design, taking advantage of several nifty widgets to enhance the user experience on smart phones. The site also utilizes Ajax loading of content to minimize traffic load, and of course gracefully downgrades to ensure a good user experience also for older handsets.
